Groove / The Architecture of Relief
This project is an exploration of how a simple line can transform the perception of a solid volume. The core idea is to breathe life into a monolith: the heavy, static form of the sideboard is activated by a rhythmic pattern carved into its surface.
These parallel grooves are more than just decoration; they create visual momentum, turning the facade into a dynamic landscape of light and shadow. By removing unnecessary hardware, we allowed the focus to remain entirely on the natural wood grain and the graphic «tracks» left on its skin.
Groove is a balance between minimalism and expression. It turns a functional piece of furniture into a sculptural statement, inviting the observer not only to look but to feel the tactile story etched into the wood.
