Outline / The Extruded Sketch
The Concept:
The Outline chair is a study in line weights and visual perception. The design process began with a simple 2D profile, where different line thicknesses were used to define structural hierarchy and aesthetic character. By «extruding» this graphic sketch into a three-dimensional product, we maintained the raw, honest quality of the original drawing.

The Design:
The chair’s silhouette is defined by the interplay between «thin» and «thick» strokes. This variation creates a dynamic side view, making the object appear light from one angle and structurally solid from another. The minimalist wooden frame acts as a precise architectural grid, supporting the plush volumes of the seat and backrest.

Stripped of any decorative excess, the Outline chair is a manifestation of graphic purity. Its simple, recognizable shapes make it easy to perceive in any interior, while the bold contrast of materials highlights its functional honesty. It is a piece where the sketch becomes the final product, proving that clarity is the ultimate form of sophistication.
